In Path of Exile, I heard one player said that he has always been a fan of the “alch-n-go” method of mapping, but part of him wants to invest into a Windripper TS MF character. After seeing the nerfs to Zana Breach and Bisco’s Collar this league, is MF worth investing into, or should he just keep doing what he is doing?

In fact, MF is always worth doing if your goal is to mass farm currency. If you want to experience the game then no. You definitely do not need MF at all, it’ll probably slow down your progression if you are a slower and more casual player.

Most MF builds are absurdly expensive simply because they put in the time with less expensive variants to be able to farm top tier MF gear. Do you need 2 +10 quant 100res +life+rarity gambles to be effective? No but if you farm effectively with the starting set (I usually use goldwyrm boots and a perandus blazon) you make the money to fill in the slots with more god tier MF items.

A lot of things to consider, lets name a few:

1. Yes, my “only” healing comes from the ring, Blood Drinker and life potion. The ring is underrated for certain builds.

2. Boss time depends entirely on the buffs of your HH, or if you usually play with a support, which I do. This video of mine is from Abyss, but the build is basically the same, so you can get an idea.

3. After playing both builds extensively, in my opinion I would say that the Windripper will end up having more damage/speed, but for that to happen you need a helmet +2 TS, Rigwald Quills, Windripper (obviously), and probably even one of them corrupted with +1 arrows. How much money is all of that?

4. On the contrary you have KB, with its core being only Piscators plus Eshs Mirror in a random 4L.

5. With bosses rewards being so crap, you’ll loose the occasional map drop from them, but you seriously should skip them if they take too long or you think that they can kill you.

Do you know Path of Exile will be starting its new league: Bestiary League? As the name implies, it’s all about capturing the beasts of Wraeclast. The Bestiary Challenge League will launch on March 2 (US time). I believe that many players like me looking forward to this moment. In the Bestiary Challenge League, hunter-scavenger Einhar Frey teaches you to hunt, capture and sacrifice beasts in order to craft powerful poe items.

This league will be introducing three new skill gems. So far two of them have been revealed:

1. Spectral Shield Throw: instead of throwing your weapon, you throw your shield. It sounds like a cool skill to use with highly defensive builds, since the damage scales off of the defenses on the shield. The big problem with it is that it never pierces, but rather shatters on impact, sending shards into nearby enemies. Depending on the damage of the shards, this will either be incredible, or just not viable for high speed damage builds. Either way it’s an awesome mechanic, and synergizes well with the new Shaper items.

2. Summon Phantasm on Kill Support: we know very little about this one so far. All we know is what the gem reads: it will cause supported skills to summon Phantasms. The Phantasms don’t last very long, but they use projectile spells. This could synergize extremely well with other minion builds depending on the damage output. It also becomes more powerful when taking into account the new Shaper helmets that allow for six link helmets. Time will tell on both of these gems.

As usual the league will come out with a bunch of new unique items. There are some related to the beast mechanic, attained from defeating ‘spirit beasts.’ They give new skills, such as the featured ‘Crab Skill.’ There are also new Fated uniques being added. Sometimes you get a prophecy that allows you to upgrade a specific item, and it says something like “go defeat X while having this unique in your inventory.”

Once you do it, the unique upgrades. That is called a Fated unique. In this way they are updating a ton of old uniques without actually changing their base form. If you don’t want to be left behind in the game just because of lack of orbs, please buy chaos orbs on U4GM.
